Missouri History in Performance Theatre (MoHiP) brings to life the stories that make up Missouri’s history

MoHiP playwrights craft scripts from historical primary resources such as

• personal letters,
• newspaper stories, and
• nineteenth-century plays.

MoHiP playwrights use the flexibility of reader’s theatre, including

• minimal sets
• small casts
• forty-five minutes to an hour in length.

The brainchild of playwright Mary Barile, MoHiP is dedicated to inspiring people of all ages to learn history through the medium of the theatre.
