Talk: “Use a Map with Care: Errors in Historic Missouri Maps”
April 3, 5:30 p.m.
When you use a map, do not assume that it is free from error! Join Walter Schroeder, associate professor emeritus at the University of Missouri-Columbia, as he discusses the major and minor mistakes that appear on some historic Missouri maps. To show where errors are likely to occur and how to identify them, Schroeder will use examples from the maps on display in The Stories They Tell: Understanding Missouri History through Maps.
