Missouri Digital Newspaper Project
The State Historical Society of Missouri has been chosen to participate in the National Digital Newspaper Program (NDNP), an effort to provide online access to historically significant newspapers. A joint initiative of the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Library of Congress, the NDNP will make available through an online, searchable database, 100,000 pages of Missouri newspapers from 1880–1922.
The Society’s newspaper collection is one of the largest in the nation and contains a wealth of information for historians, students, and genealogical researchers. Missouri newspapers will be accessible through Chronicling America website by Fall 2009.
