January 03, 2007 Society to Offer Tuesday Evening HoursBeginning January 16, the Society’s Newspaper and Reference Libraries will be open for research until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesdays when University of Missouri-Columbia classes are in session.Because of limited staff, copying services and materials stored in closed stack areas may not be available during the evening hours. Researchers are urged to call (800-747-6366) or e-mail (shsofmo@umsystem.edu) in advance to check on the availability of research materials. The extended hours will be in effect during the winter semester (January 16 through May 11, 2007). At the end of the semester, Tuesday evening patron usage will be evaluated and a decision made about continuing the program on a permanent basis. The Newspaper and Reference Libraries will be open for research 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday, Wednesday-Friday; 8:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m., Tuesday; 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Saturday. The Photo Archives will be open for research 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. The Art Gallery hours will be 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Monday-Friday; 9:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Saturday. posted @ 12:13 PM |
