January 08, 2007 Missouri History Speakers’ Bureau EstablishedNeed a speaker for a meeting?The State Historical Society of Missouri has recently established a Missouri History Speakers’ Bureau to provide speakers on Missouri history topics to adult not-for-profit groups throughout the state without cost to the host institutions. Adult not-for-profit groups, including service and religious groups, can request up to two speakers per calendar year. Speakers must be scheduled at least thirty calendar days in advance. Due to limited funds for the reimbursement of speakers’ travel expenses, preference will be given to organizations located within one hundred miles of the requested speaker’s residence. The Society invites donations to help maximize the number of presentations that can be sponsored.
