Schroeder Assistant Professor Emeritus Department of Geography University of Missouri-Columbia. Cultural Regions of Missouri Saturday, May 20, 2006, 10:00 a.m. Free & Open to the Public Come to learn & stay to research! Dr. Schroeder will provide an overview of the cultural groups that settled in Missouri’s various regions. He will explain why immigrants chose specific locations and will identify characteristics of the visible landscape immigrants created. Anyone interested in genealogy, sociology, immigration patterns, and Missouri history in general will want to hear this presentation on the settlement patterns of Missouri’s diverse population. The State Historical Society of Missouri is located on the University of Missouri Campus in the east wing of the Elmer Ellis Library building, room 1, ground floor.
