“Writing for Publication,” a workshop presented by The State Historical Society of Missouri, will be held Tuesday, December 6 in the Society’s Reference Library on the University of Missouri–Columbia campus. The workshop will cover the basics of writing historical articles for newspapers, scholarly journals, and newsletters and will offer tips on designing newsletters. The session will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The workshop is open to the public but limited to fifteen participants. Pre-registration is required, and registration forms can be downloaded from the Society’s Web site, or requested by calling (573) 882-7083. The workshop is free for Society members and $10 for nonmembers. Persons interested in joining the Society can do so for $20 for an individual annual membership or $30 for a family annual membership.
