Converging Views:

Wood and Cameron will give slide presentations on the work of Karl Bodmer, a Swiss artist who accompanied Alexander Philipp Maximilian, prince of Wied-Neuwield, on a journey following the Missouri River up to present-day Montana in 1832-1834. As Prince Maximilian studied the natural history and indigenous cultures of the continent, Bodmer documented it in sketches and watercolors. Cameron will compare Bodmer’s work with that of his contemporary, George Catlin.

MU Gallery Crawl

Free and open to the public

Visit each of the four MU campus galleries at your own pace. Enjoy refreshments, new exhibitions and a wide array of art. Don't forget to look at the various sculptures and monuments throughout the campus as you "crawl" from gallery to gallery.
