April Workshop Will Provide Overview of the Reference Library

The Reference Library: An Overview and Getting Started,” a workshop presented by the State Historical Society of Missouri, will be held Tuesday, April 12, and Tuesday, April 19, in the Society’s quarters on the University of Missouri–Columbia campus.
The workshop, geared toward less experienced researchers, is designed to familiarize patrons with the library and its finding aids. Staff will present a brief overview of research materials and the information that can be found in those resources. The sessions will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and if time permits, participants will have the opportunity to do research using the featured materials.

The workshop is open to the public but limited to fifteen participants. Pre-registration is required, and registration forms can be downloaded from the Society’s Web site, or requested by calling (573) 882-7083. The workshop is free for Society members and $10 for non-members. Persons interested in joining the Society can do so for $20 for an individual annual membership or $30 for a family annual membership. The Society will not be open for public research during the workshops.
