January 07, 2005 Second Session of Research Workshops Added Due to Overwhelming ResponseTo accommodate the demand for its newly offered monthly workshops, the State Historical Society of Missouri in Columbia will offer a second session of workshops each month. The workshops, which highlight the Society’s research collections and provide beginning research training to persons interested in history and genealogy, will now be offered the second and third Tuesdays of each month from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The workshops are limited to 15 per session, and pre-registration is required. Registration forms can be downloaded from the Society’s Web site, www.umsystem.edu/shs/workshopinfo.html, or requested by calling (573) 882-7083.The workshops are free for Society members and available to non-members for $10 per session. Persons interested in joining the Society can do so for $20 for an individual annual membership or $30 for a family annual membership.
