The annual Missouri Conference on History Book Award is given a $500 cash prize for the best book on any historical topic written by a Missouri resident and published during the year preceding the award. Nominations can be made by authors, publishers, or others.
Three copies of each nominated book should be mailed to:

The deadline for submission of nominations is January 15, 2009.
The annual Missouri Conference on History Article Award is given a $250 cash prize for the best article on Missouri history published during the year preceding the award. There is no residency restriction on the author. Nominations can be made by authors, publishers, or others.

For the first time in 2009, the Missouri Conference on History will present a $250 prize for the best graduate student paper presented at the conference.
Graduate students who wish to be considered for the prize should submit an electronic version of the completed paper of between 3,000 and 4,000 words to:
