INTRODUCTION

Branson was a member of an Iowa regiment during the campaign of 1861 in Missouri. He fought in the Battle of Wilson’s creek, 10 August 1861.

DONOR INFORMATION

The William W. Branson Diary was deposited at the University of Missouri by R.W. Branson on 25 April 1944 (Accession No. 122).
