For over one hundred years the State Historical Society has collected, preserved, made accessible and published the history of Missouri.

Effective November 1 the Society will be open Monday - Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. because of budget cuts.

transcript

Society hours and services cut due to a 25 percent withholding caused by the continued downturn in Missouri state revenues

If each of the Society’s 4,867 members made a $75 pledge we would raise $365,000—the amount needed to offset the withholding. We need your help to meet the goal! For the complete response to the withholding, please watch and listen to the video of Executive Director Gary Kremer’s remarks at the annual meeting, held October 31.
