Josephine Baker (1906–1975)

Josephine Baker was an entertainer from St. Louis, Missouri, who became famous for her singing, dancing, and acting in New York City and Paris, France. She worked for the French Resistance during World War II and fought for school integration and civil rights in the United States during the 1950s and 1960s.
